Proposed project schedule

  • Just as the district is required to seek voter authorization for its annual operating budget, any time a school district in New York State proposes a capital improvement project, a public referendum, or vote, is necessary.

If approved, the plans and specifications for this capital project will need to be completed by the architects and engineers and will be submitted to the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for approval and official building permits. This process and approval from the state can take up to one year, so it is anticipated that construction would begin in the spring of 2026 and continue through the fall of 2032. The construction schedule would seek to minimize disruptions to the school day.
