Important June Exam Information
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, students taking Regent’s US History and Government will be pulled out of classes to take their Regent’s Assessment. Regular classes will be in session for all high school students on this day.
The last day of regular classes for Gates Chili High School will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Regents Exams for high school students will begin on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 through Thursday, June 22, 2023. On these days, only students who have Regent’s examinations, final local examinations or students enrolled at WEMOCO must attend school.
During the exam period, the regular morning and afternoon bus schedules will run. In addition, there will be a special mid-morning bus run that will pick up students who have either afternoon exams. This same transportation will depart the High School with those students who have completed morning testing. Copies of the bus schedule (listing the route and pick up times) are posted in grade level offices, cafeterias, on-line and at security. The last day for WEMOCO students will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Information concerning the exact time and location of all examinations is available from each student’s classroom teacher.
Locker clean-out will be on Friday, June 9, 2023. Students will not be allowed to bring personal belongings (bags, hats, etc.) into the building, beginning Monday, June 12, 2023. Due to State Assessment regulations, electronic devices are prohibited beginning Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Students will not be allowed into testing sites with electronic devices or exams will be invalidated. School phones will be available for student use. Proper identification will be required to pick up any confiscated electronics. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Please leave all cell phones, electronic devices and other personal belongings at home.

Student of the Month is an academic award program at Gates Chili High School where each department identifies a student for outstanding achievement or for demonstrating leadership in the classroom. We believe that it is essential to recognize students that demonstrate high quality effort and learning.
The food pantry, supported in partnership with Gates Chili Community Connections, is located at Gates Chili High School and is open once a week each month.

Mrs. Dossier has been a math teacher in Gates Chili for 17 years. Pending Board of Education approval, she will take over as leader of the Amerks community on June 20.
