Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES

The Gates Chili Central School District is one of nine component school district of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES. BOCES stands for Board of Cooperative Educational Services. BOCES is a public organization that was created by the New York State Legislature in 1948 to provide shared educational programs and services to school districts.

Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, also referred to as BOCES 2, offers Career and Technical Education, Education for Exceptional Children, Regional Summer School, Westside Academy, and for adult learners, the Center for Workforce Development. BOCES 2 also has Communication and Technology Services, the Elementary Science Program and an Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development. Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES celebrated 60 years of partnering with school districts in 2015.
