Important January Exam Information
Regular classes will be in session on Tuesday, January 21st through Thursday, January 23rd. All students are required to attend. Students that have been scheduled to take a Regents exam will be excused from class during the testing administration. Afternoon exam students will be excused from classes to eat during early lunch before their exam. Friday, January 24th is a Conference Day and only students that have been scheduled to take the Regents Living Environment exam or WEMOCO must attend. Any students enrolled in WEMOCO or taking the Living Environment exam that need transportation must notify the 10th grade office by Friday, January 17th. Students will be picked up and dropped off from their home.
Due to State Assessment regulations, electronic devices, including cell phones, are prohibited during testing. Students will not be allowed into testing sites with electronic devices. School phones will be available for student use. Proper identification will be required to pick up any confiscated electronics. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Any student in possession of an electronic device during a state assessment will have their exam invalidated. Please leave all cell phones and other electronic devices at home.
Copies of the examination schedule for the week are posted in grade level offices, cafeterias, on-line (please click here) and at security. If your student has any questions or concerns regarding assessments, they should contact their classroom teacher or their counselor.
The first day of the second semester is January 27, 2025. It will be a C Day

Please complete the form found here, to remove your child's name from any list provided to the Military Recruiters and /or Institutions of Higher Learning.

Student of the Month is an academic award program at Gates Chili High School where each department identifies a student for outstanding achievement or for demonstrating leadership in the classroom. We believe that it is essential to recognize students that demonstrate high quality effort and learning.
