WHAT TO DO IF YOUR LAPTOP IS BROKEN OR NOT WORKING CORRECTLY
Please go to your Community Office with your device and fill out an incident report for any of the following issues:- Broken screen
- Broken hinge
- Liquid spills
- Broken charger/laptop case
- Any other physical damage to the laptop
Please go to the Tech Center for the following issues:
- Lost, stolen, or broken charger ($10 for replacement)
- Lost or broken laptop case ($20 for replacement)
- Lost or stolen laptop
Please go to your Community Office to pay for laptop charges with cash or a check.
Please fill out an IT Request ticket (Click Here and sign in with your laptop username and password) for any of the following issues:
- Audio not working (headphones or speakers)
- Program issues (SchoolTool, Schoology, Outlook, Office 365, etc.)
- Sticky/Stuck keys
- If you are experiencing issues with Google Chrome, you can use Microsoft Edge to access the internet and fill out an IT Request ticket.
These tickets will be taken care of as soon as possible but may take a few days, depending on the issue.
For situations in which you cannot use your laptop due to hardware issues or software issues (laptop won't turn on, laptop stuck on starting screen, keyboard is not working, etc.) and do not have access to another device to fill out an IT Request ticket, please ask an adult (teacher, community office personnel, parent or guardian) to fill out an IT Request for you.
Please DO NOT attempt any repairs on a district-issued device. Attempting repairs may cause more damage to the device and may result in a payment issued for further repair.
