Lanceri-Federico is a lifelong Gates Chili resident and a second-generation Board of Education member, following in his mother’s footsteps. He is also a Gates Chili graduate who is now raising the next generation of his family in our district. His son attends Neil Armstrong Elementary School, and Lanceri-Federico remains actively involved in the school community, including as a coach with Gates Jr. Spartans football. “Gates Chili has played an important role in shaping who I am, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the district and community that have given so much to me and my family,” said Lanceri-Federico. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members and district leadership to support our students and help ensure every Spartan has opportunities to succeed.”

Professionally, Lanceri-Federico serves as Facilities Manager at Foodlink. His experience includes fiscal and operational management, capital projects, contract negotiation, bid evaluation and vendor oversight. Through his work at Foodlink, he is also familiar with the role community partnerships and support programs can play in meeting the needs of students and families.
Lanceri-Federico was selected following an application and interview process that drew interest from five Gates Chili community members. The Board interviewed each candidate before selecting Lanceri-Federico to fill the vacancy.
“We were fortunate to have five community members willing to step forward and serve Gates Chili,” said Board of Education President Kathryn Davis. “Austin’s deep connection to our district, commitment to students and families, and professional experience will bring a valuable perspective to the Board. We are excited to welcome him and look forward to serving alongside him.”
Lanceri-Federico will serve on the Board until the May 2027 Board of Education election. He will be eligible to run as an incumbent at that time. |
