Gates Chili assistant superintendent named HR Executive of the Year

Gates Chili Central School District Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Labor Relations Michaela Perrotto has been named the 2026 HR Executive of the Year by the Rochester affiliate of the National Human Resources Association (NHRA).

The annual award recognizes outstanding human resources professionals in the Rochester community who demonstrate innovation, leadership and operational excellence, make significant contributions to their organizations and the HR profession and inspire others to excel. Perrotto was selected for the honor from among four finalists.

“Michaela’s leadership has had a tremendous impact across Gates Chili,” said Superintendent Dr. Mitchell Ball. “Her thoughtful, people-centered approach strengthens our organization and supports the employees who serve our students every day. This recognition is well-deserved and reflects the professionalism, care and commitment she brings to her work.”

Perrotto was recognized alongside fellow finalists Jennifer DeVault, vice president of associate services and wellness at UR Medicine Thompson Health; Michaele-Lynne “ML” Krenzer, director of human resources at Progressive Machine and Design; and Donna Mostiller, senior vice president of people and culture at Heritage Christian Services. The finalists were honored during NHRA Rochester’s annual HR Executive of the Year and Rising Star Awards Luncheon on Aug. 6 at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford.

The HR Executive of the Year Awards are a signature event of NHRA Rochester and recognize some of the region’s leading professionals in the human resources field. The Rochester affiliate provides opportunities for HR professionals to exchange ideas, build connections and participate in professional development and community involvement.
 
The National Human Resources Association is a professional community focused on advancing the HR profession.
