BOE appoints Brasser's next assistant principal

During its regular business meeting on Jan. 27, the Gates Chili Board of Education appointed Ms. Emily Guarino as Brasser’s next assistant principal. Guarino comes to Gates Chili from the Rochester City School District, where she served as Associate Director of Special Education. She previously served in a similar role at Greece CSD and as an instructional specialist at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, in addition to her years of teaching experience at multiple levels. Guarino holds a bachelor's, master's and certificate of advanced study from SUNY Brockport. She is also the proud parent of a current Brasser student! Guarino will begin working with us on Monday, Feb. 23. In addition, as the school prepares welcome their new assistant principal, the district extends a most heartelt thanks to Interim Assistant Principal Tim Dobbertin for his steady leadership and support over the past few months. Dobbertin will remain the interim assistant principal until February break begins.
