The New York Association of School Psychologists (NYSAP) has named Paul Road Elementary School's Dr. Sarah Ryan as a Ruth Steegmann Chapter School Psychologist of the Year.

The Steegman awards recognize excellence in the field of school psychology and are presented to one individual from each of NYSAP's local chapters. Ryan is this year's recipient for Chapter D, covering Monroe, Ontario, Seneca and Wayne counties. As a chapter winner, Ryan is also a nominee for the Frank Plumeau School Psychologist of the Year award, which recognizes one individual from across the state. The award will be presented at NYSAP's annual conference in November.
