Gates Chili students earn top technical honors
Six Spartans made their mark this year as inductees into the WEMOCO chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
Gates Chili High School students Paige Hamilton (Cosmetology), Zachary Rush (Carpentry), Michael Frost (Residential and Commercial Electrical) Alexandra Servati, Madison Johnson and Emily Eichas (Nurse Assisting and Associated Health Careers) are all students at the WEMOCO Career and Technical Education Center in Spencerport. They were inducted into NTHS during ceremonies in their classrooms on Feb. 8.
In order to be a member of NTHS, a student must have good academic standing, an excellent attendance record, a CTE teacher recommendation and be graduating with a local, Regents or Regents with Distinction diploma. Inductees must adhere to the seven tenets of the NTHS: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership.
Congratulations to these Spartans on their achievements!
