This year marks the 55th anniversary of Paul Road School, one of four elementary schools within the Gates Chili School District. Among the larger elementary buildings, there are approximately 420 students enrolled at PRS in grades K-5.
Our school maintains over 90 professional and support staff members, both full-time and part-time staff. In addition, parents make up a caring and dedicated group of district-approved volunteers who eagerly support our school's program. Our Paul Road School and Family Association (PRSFA) is active in fostering and promoting a strong home-school connection.
Paul Road students are immersed in a literacy-rich learning environment, wherein teachers utilize both fiction and informational books to foster development as independent readers. Academic support is available to support students' growth in reading and math through our intervention programs. Additionally, extra student support is offered by highly qualified teachers in the areas of special education, speech & language, physical and occupational therapy, and counseling.
The availability of extracurricular and enrichment opportunities continues to evolve to reflect student interest. Our students typically have an option of being involved in the band program, chorus, intramural athletics, Hiking club, Service Club, Girls on the Run, Geography Bee, and various service learning projects. Additional programs are continuously being added and are often generously supported by the Paul Road School & Family Association (PRSFA) as well as through our School Equity and Improvement Team.
