As you prepare for the busy holiday season Mr. D and I wanted to share a few reminders & notes from school.
Please join us for the annual holiday concert on Wednesday, December 11 at Gates Chili High School. The concert begins at 7pm. This concert has been switched back to the high school campus as construction on the new auditorium is taking a bit longer than anticipated to begin. We are pleased to be back at GCHS!
A BIG thank you to our families for the contributions of food items last month. We had enough food and paper goods to share with 23 PRS families for Thanksgiving and enough left-over to help a few more families during Christmas.
Our students enjoyed Santa's Secret Shoppe last week. We appreciate a donation of time from many volunteers, especially PRS parents Renee' Emanuele and Emily Schaub who set-up and coordinated this event.
A reminder that there is no school on Monday, December 9 for parent-teacher conferences. There is also a half-day of classes on December 20, the day before Holiday Recess. Dismissal on the 20th will begin at 11:20 for student pick-ups, with buses departing at 11:35.
Finally, you may wish to view the attached flyer for a new organization - Gates Chili Special Education Parent Teacher Organization. Please give them a "like" and follow on social media!
I hope you enjoy your weekend and the holiday recess ahead.
Elementary students created activity books for children in UR Medicine’s Golisano Children’s Hospital, making 300 of them to donate to patients ahead of the holiday season.
The GCHS Service Club brought in more than $4,500 for Gates Chili families through its annual homeroom drive. Each year the Service Club uses the funds from this drive to adopt families from around the district and provide them with food and gifts for the holidays.
In the next couple of months, all GCCSD elementary schools will have a salad bar. Armstrong fifth-graders Gianna and Caiden helped Superintendent Dailey learn how to use the new salad bar the Spartan Way.
The Gates Chili Athletic Department is proud to announce the 2019 Fall All-County Award Recipients in their respective sport.
Just as GCCSD prides itself on being a united community, so do the towns surrounding our campus. In a collaboration with local organizations, Spartan Circle provides the meeting point between the two.
