Gates Chili Central School District

​In May 2017, the Gates Chili Central School District community approved a $68 million capital improvement project aimed at enhancing and modernizing district facilities to support 21st-century learning. This comprehensive project, now successfully completed, encompassed a range of upgrades and new constructions across multiple schools and district buildings.​

Key components of the 2017 Capital Project:

• Safety and security enhancements: Upgrades to building access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response mechanisms to ensure a secure environment for all students and staff.​

• Infrastructure Improvements: Addressed critical infrastructure needs identified in the Building Condition Survey, including roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and ADA accessibility enhancements.​

• New district auditorium: Construction of a state-of-the-art auditorium at Gates Chili High School, providing a dedicated space for performances, assemblies, and community events.​

• Athletic facilities upgrades: Renovation of the existing track and creation of a new turf field to support athletic programs and community recreation.​

• Learning environment modernizations: Renovations of classrooms, libraries, and common areas to create flexible, technology-rich learning spaces that promote collaboration and innovation.​
