Three Finalists Selected in Gates Chili Superintendent Search
The Gates Chili Board of Education has identified three finalists for the district’s next top administrator. The finalists are:
- Donald Bavis, Superintendent of Schools, Marion Central School District
- Christopher Dailey, Superintendent of Schools, Batavia City School District
- Ty Zinkiewich, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, Spencerport Central School District
“My Board colleagues and I thank the community for its input and look forward to the finalists’ daylong visits to Gates Chili,” said Board President Jeffrey Pettenski. “We are confident that the three accomplished educators we have chosen as finalists will continue our tradition of teaching and inspiring excellence for all learners.”
“The members of the Gates Chili Board of Education have engaged in a thorough and thoughtful process to identify three experienced educators as finalists,” said Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES District Superintendent and Search Consultant Jo Anne L. Antonacci. “The Board’s collaborative spirit is evident as they continue to engage the community for input through the final phase of this search.”
The three finalists are scheduled for individual daylong school visits, which will include a community forum from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Gates Chili High School Library Mezzanine. The forums will allow staff and community members to meet and interact with each candidate. The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, March 18, 2019: Ty Zinkiewich
- Tuesday, March 19, 2019: Donald Bavis
- Wednesday, March 20, 2019: Christopher Dailey
