Gates Chili High School student Tyla Jackson demonstrated exceptional poise and leadership as she played a pivotal role in inducting Marty Mucci of Paychex into the 2023 Rochester Business Hall of Fame. The prestigious event, which took place on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, celebrated the accomplishments of remarkable business leaders in the Rochester community.

The 2023 Rochester Business Hall of Fame inductees were unveiled by Junior Achievement, the Rochester Business Journal, and the Rochester Museum and Science Center. This year's honorees included Susan R. Holliday, former president, publisher and owner of the Rochester Business Journal; Richard R. LeFrois, CEO of LeFrois Builders and Developers Inc. and president of LeFrois Builders South, Inc.; Martin Mucci, chairman of the board of Paychex, Inc.; and a posthumous award for Arthur Wolcott, founder and chairman of Seneca Foods Corporation.

The Rochester Business Hall of Fame, established in 2001, is an annual event presented by Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York, the Rochester Business Journal, and the Rochester Museum and Science Center. The honorees are carefully selected by the Hall of Fame Committee, with guidance from an independent group that includes past inductees.

Tyla Jackson's remarkable representation of Gates Chili and Junior Achievement at this prestigious event underscores the exceptional talent and dedication of our students, further enhancing the reputation of the Gates Chili School District on the regional stage.
