GCCSD students inducted into NTHS
Three Gates Chili CSD students have been inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. All part of the Class of 2020, the students attend Career and Technical Education programs, including heavy equipment operation, cosmetology and HVAC. Students were inducted at a ceremony on Nov. 19 at the BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education Center at WEMOCO.
Students are inducted into the honor society when they demonstrate superior performance in their CTE class, including high attendance and grades. It is America’s highest award for excellence in Career and Technical Education (CTE), and honors students who have been identified as being honest, responsible student-citizens who have made a personal commitment to excellence.
This year’s inductees include Timothy Masetta, who is studying Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance II, Elysa Forte, who is studying Cosmetology II, and Brandon Roman, who is studying HVAC and Plumbing II. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce.
