• Fossils

Mr. Ron Walker, a former science teacher, talked to our school about paleontology and fossils.  We had an assembly and we learned about time lines and things that lived millions and even billions of years ago.  Did you know that there is one fossil, the sea scorpion, that was first found in the New York area?!

On his last day, Friday, we had a visit to "Neil Armstrong's Fossil Museum" .  Mr. Walker was sick for our special class during ADEPT week, but he came back on January 21.  We learned a lot about fossils and how they are formed. Here are some class pictures...

Special thanks to all the fourth and fifth graders who were the volunteers working at our museum!  They did a great job, we learned a lot!
