Thematic Reading Lists

  • Humanities is comprised of the study of thematic units.  Each thematic unit consists of the study of the arts and literature.  For each unit, students will read a novel independently, in literature circles or as a large class.  Here is a list of the themes and bigger works which are all possible novels and plays we will be reading this year.  If you want to know a little more about them (especially the independent novels) see "My Booklist" or visit the Barnes and Nobles' website.  Note:  Independent novels are not listed below.
