"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."  Red Auerbach

Hello! This is my sixteenth year teaching in the Gates Chili Central School District and my nineteenth year teaching vocal music.  Originally from Buffalo NY, I went to college at SUNY College at Fredonia for both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education.  My major instrument for both degrees was voice, and I play piano and guitar as well.  Additionally, I have done graduate work at the Eastman School of Music and studied conducting with Dr. William Weinert and Bob Page.  At Gates Chili High School I enjoy directing the Advanced Choirs, the Show Choir, the "West Side Wailers" men's acapella group, and advising the Tri-M National Music Honor Society.

In my free time I like to spend time with my sons Evan, Kaiden and husband Keith. I enjoy spending time outdoors.  Other pastimes include gardening, scrapbooking, reading and getting together with friends.  I can also be heard cantoring for the Church of the Transfiguration Catholic Church in Pittsford.

I love my job and the students at Gates Chili High School! The choirs are great to work with.  They make coming to work every day something to look forward to!
