WELCOME to JUNIOR YEAR! Dear Parent/Guardian: Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! The Junior year is a work intensive and exciting time in your child’s education. Our objective is to provide you and your 11th grader with the resources, information and support s/he will need toward a smooth transition from high school to post- secondary education and the world of work. We will initiate the junior year counseling curriculum with classroom seminars regarding college entrance testing (PSATs, SATs, ACTs), college and career search using the NAVIANCE program.
To facilitate your child’s college search, the counseling office will host several college fairs in the High School Atrium and at the area malls. Please read and post the enclosed Junior Year Activities highlighting the junior year tasks, important dates and other valuable information. As your counselors for the class of 2013, we anticipate a productive and successful year for your child and look forward to working with you toward these endeavors. Sincerely, Mr. Michael A.
