GATES CHILI SCHOOL DISTRICT

A few notes from Mrs. Antinelli: -
It's not too late to join Mrs. Beers and I for our first family book club meeting of the school year. We are reading the book, A Dog of His Own. Click here for more information... Mrs. Beers and I have a challenge for all fourth graders. One of your goals this year is to "Strive for 25." You must read 25 "good fit" books during this coming school year. But, we're going to give you a head start. You can begin the school year goal right now. We will give you credit for up to 3 books towards your goal of 25 books. Here's what you have to do: -
Read a book at your good fit/just right level. (Not too easy or too hard) -
On a piece of paper, write the title of the book, author's name, and genre at the top of the paper. Don't forget your name. -
Skip a line or two and write a summary of the book...at least 5 detailed sentences. -
Have your parent/guardian sign the bottom of the paper. -
Put it in a safe place and bring it to your teacher the first week of school. Happy reading!
