Dear Families, Please read the following note from our Superintendent, Dr. Davey. Early Dismissal on Friday, January 20 On Friday, January 20, 2012 all students in our School District will be participating in an early dismissal drill where we will release students 15 minutes earlier than the regular dismissal time. The purpose of this “go home early” drill is to test the effectiveness of our dismissal procedures, transportation, and communication systems in the event of an actual emergency. This drill is required each year by the State as part of our District’s Emergency Management Plan and helps us to ensure the safety of all our students. Due to the drill, all elementary late buses will be cancelled for that day. As a parent/guardian, we ask that you prepare for early dismissal for your child or children and if necessary update the emergency contact information at your child’s school. During the school year, any early dismissals and school closings are reported on local radio and television stations, through automated phone messages and on the district website, at www.gateschili.org. Thank you for your cooperation in working with our District to ensure that we have a successful drill and confirm our emergency dismissal procedures. Sincerely, Peter J. Hens, Principal Paul Road School
