Winter Driver Education Program
The Gates Chili School District is offering a Winter Driver Education course as a Community Service Program. Classes are tentatively scheduled to run from January 3rd through May 9th, 2010. Students must be 16 years old and have a valid learner’s permit before January 1, 2010. Registration will be by lottery held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Gates Chili High School Band Room.
A student and/or parent or guardian must be present at the lottery to be selected. To be included in the lottery, students must submit a registration form, signed by a parent/guardian, to the Continuing Education office by noon on November 30. If a student is selected during the lottery, the fee of $375 must be paid the night of the lottery to secure a spot. Advanced payments are not accepted.
The program is open to Gates Chili School District residents. Seniors or those wait listed from the summer 2009 program have priority if they have registered for the lottery. For details about the program visit click on the link below or call the Gates Chili Continuing Education office at 247-5345.
