The Middle School will undergo some renovations and the construction documents have been approved by NYS Education department.  It is expected that the Middle School portion of the Phase IX project will go out to bid by March 2008 and for construction to begin in June 2008.

Here's a summary of the work to be done:

• The library and room next to it, called the draw-off room, will be renovated to make the space more functional.
• The kitchen will be expanded. Current space is small and makes food preparation and distribution difficult.
• Two athletic rooms will be added to support the increase in teams at the Middle School level.
• A new covered walkway and front entrance will be constructed to increase safety.
• A new lobby entrance to the main office will be constructed.

In addition to the above, several infrastructure and energy saving improvements will be made:

• Replace Soffits
• Replace Folding Gym Door
• Replace Door Hardware - ADA
• Add Handicapped Lift for Stage Platform
• Upgrade Electrical Services
• Replace Electrical Panels
• Replace Stage Lighting
• Replace Stage Sound System

• Replace Boiler        
• Upgrade Boiler Controls                         
• Install Pool Dehumidifier                          
• Implement Hot Water Conservation
• Install Cogeneration Equipment  
• Water Conservation
